"When she stopped conforming to the conventional picture of femininity, she finally began to enjoy being a women." --Betty Friedan
I drew much of my inspiration this year from a thesis I wrote on building the self-esteem of our female students. I teach art at the local high school and am amazed every day by the beauty of my students (inside and out). I can only hope they grow to be strong independent women.
I was born with a love of the arts. I always loved getting elbow deep in goop to remodel, paint or to photograph a model. Many of my friends can attest to that. Photography has kept me sane when I thought I had nothing. Creating anything is a source of happiness and contentment for me. I humbly share some of what I’ve done this year. Mostly inspired by my masters program in which I wrote a thesis on the self-esteem of females in high school. The more research I did the more I was convinced that being a women is a very tricky road to navigate.
